This is the 2nd episode in our Cast Member stories series and I sit down with Nic Swader to discuss his experience on the Walt Disney World College Program in fall 2016.
We talk about how his initial love for Disney grew into a desire to work at Walt Disney World, some of the behind the scenes info of his work location at Space Mountain and what he loved most about it.
We also dive into a very cool and special experience he had trying out for and being cast in one of the Disney Parks most honored holiday traditions, the Candlelight Processional. He shares about his audition experience, what celebrity narrators he got to sing with and the excitement this honor brought to his family and friends.

This episode starts our Cast Member stories series. I knew when I started this podcast that I wanted to include personal stories and experiences from disney cast members. We all know that the attractions and characters are great, but it's the cast members that are the real magic makers.
Walt Disney himself knew this and was deeply dedicated to the ideas of service and show. That is why at each of the kingdoms around the world you'll find a casting agency door with the quote "it takes people to make the dream a reality." It is an everlasting tribute to each and every cast member making magic around the world. See if you can find it on main street next time you visit!
For this inaugural episode of the series I'm joined by my longtime friend Katie Fisher from Pictures and Postcards Travel and we sit down and talk about her experience on the Walt Disney World College Program in fall 2001.
We talk about how she found out about the program, what inspired her to apply and what her role was like.
She recounts how 9/11 affected her program, and how, with a little Disney magic she reconnected with a long lost childhood friend.
